Xfce4-notifyd is a simple, visually-appealing notification daemon for Xfce that implements the Freedesktop.org Desktop Notifications Specification.

Requirements
- gtk+, version 2.10.0 or greater

- dbus and dbus-glib, versions 1.0.0 and 0.72 or greater, respectively
- libglade version 2.6.0 or greater
- libsexy version 0.1.6 or greater (optional)

You can retrieve the current development version of the plugin from Xfce's
git repository. To check out the module, issue the following
command:
$ git clone git://git.xfce.org/kelnos/xfce4-notifydYou can also view the xfce4-notifyd sources via the web interface.
Installation
See the INSTALL file included in the soruce tree for instructions. For a git build, issue autogen.sh instead of configure.
Assuming D-Bus is set up properly on your system (doing so is an exercise left to the reader), that's it.
Configuration
All tunable settings are exposed through a GUI. Run xfce4-notifyd-config.
