Work in a small team of software developers on the embedded software for Netgear's multimedia product line. Responsibilities include boot loader/kernel modifications, non-UI infrastructure libraries, and miscellaneous bug fixing. Write and maintain MacOS X ports of existing Windows client software.

April 2005 - October 2006

Manage the engineering development of new products from the ground up based on Netgear marketing requirements, working with internal or external software developers and hardware manufacturers to bring these products to market in a timely manner.

August 2004 - March 2005

Perform interoperability testing and verification testing of product features and performance, if necessary using self-designed test tools and methods. Supervise outside test labs and/or vendors' test groups. Assist in troubleshooting customer hardware and software problems as needed.

Assist in development and implementation of new server- and client-side authentication methods in order to phase out current obsolete and problematic systems. Volunteer Experience

Xfce Project, February 2004 - present

Act as maintainer for the xfdesktop module of the Xfce Desktop Environment (a lightweight environment for UNIX/Linux systems). Design and implement enhancements to xfdesktop (as well as Xfce as a whole), while also providing support to end-users. Develop spinoff applications to sit on top of the desktop environment as the need/desire arises.

Cornell Ballroom Dance Club/Team, April 2001 - July 2004

Design and maintain websites for both organisations. Design and implement a competition registration system to handle 300+ registrants in 60+ events. Act as President of the organisation for the 2003 academic year. Teach ballroom and latin lessons to 50+ club members weekly.
